Even though it might take too long like Civ, Heroes III of Might and Magic is a solid choice, and easily obtained via GOG. But that's not something you're into now, Diablo 3 is now a great choice, if you're into Hack'n'Slashes at all, but there is also Divinity: Original Sin (Enhanced Edition) and it's sequel, which are also great fun both single and multiplayer.
